I have been fighting with Ubuntu to get it to install on an older server I have. 9.0.4 Server LTS sees the drives through the RAID card, but it's too old (the distro) so it's not supported any more.
Phoronix spotted the update via Ubuntu's Launchpad platform. What this means is that users can have the proprietary Nvidia driver -- a better option for gaming compared to the open source "Nouveau" ...
