MIAMI GARDENS — The Miami Dolphins have requested permission to interview Chad Alexander, an assistant general manager with the Los Angeles Chargers, for their general manager job, according to an ESPN report.

The Miami Dolphins initially saw five names reported on Monday for their interview requests for a vacant general manager post. Then, shortly thereafter, a sixth name was reported — San Francisco 49ers Vice President of Player Personnel Tariq Ahmad.
