SPLENIC & LIVER GRANULOMATOSIS What It Looks Like on Ultrasound 🔍 • Multiple small, round hypoechoic nodules in the spleen • Patchy, inhomogeneous liver texture • Sometimes mild splenomegaly • No mass effect, usually no vessel displacement 🧬 Differential Diagnosis ⬇️ • Sarcoidosis — classic, often with ↑ sIL-2R • Brucellosis • Tuberculosis • Fungal infections (histoplasmosis, candidiasis) • Lymphoma (always keep in mind in nodular spleen!) • Crohn’s-associated granulomas (rare but possible) |
